Sarah Brown

Since graduating in 2007 from Otago University Sarah has been fortunate that physiotherapy has taken her all over the world, combining her love of sport and travel.

Sarah has been based in Auckland, London, Sydney and Wanaka. She worked for five years with two Australian Olympic teams, covering large international events in Rio, Mexico, Germany, Poland, Australia, UK and the USA.  Sarah completed her post graduate in Sport & Exercise Physiotherapy at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2019.

Work and travel finally brought Sarah back to Wanaka in 2019 when she decided to start her own clinic and is still striving for the ultimate work/life balance.

Sarah works with several local and international elite athletes including Freeride Skiers, Olympic Park & Pipe Skiers and Mountain Bikers.

In her free time you will find her up the mountain snowboarding, mountain biking or hiking with her young family.

Philippa is a highly experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist with 19 years of clinical practice experience. She has completed extensive postgraduate study, including Sports Medicine, Acupuncture, Continence management, and a Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Philippa has worked extensively in elite sport, most recently as Lead Physiotherapist for Manu Samoa and Return to Play Coach for Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby.

Philippa is our current Women’s health physiotherapist, helping Women through their pre- and postnatal journeys, and with any other pelvic health conditions. 

Bethany Lancaster

Beth graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2013

Beth began her Physiotherapy career back in her home town of Hamilton, gaining extensive private practice experience and sports Physio experience with Varsity Rugby Club.  In 2016 Beth spent 6 months travelling throughout South and Central America, followed by an epic winter ski season in Banff, Canada.  She then moved across to Edinburgh where she practiced for a few years as a private practice physiotherapist.  Missing the mountains, Beth returned to New Zealand and settled in Wanaka in 2018.

Beth is a firm believer that Motion is Lotion! She loves getting her patients moving, and in particular enjoys introducing them to the benefits of all forms of exercise including the gym environment, and reformer pilates.

 

In her spare time Beth can be found snowboarding, paddleboarding, trail running, surfing and hiking in our beautiful backyard of Wanaka.

Originally from the UK, Katherine graduated from St Georges University of London in 2015 and went on to study Hand and Upper Limb Therapy from Auckland University of Technology in 2023.

Katherine has recently moved to Wanaka from Whangarei and enjoys treating all acute and chronic hand conditions.
Sports injuries, Fractures, Tenosynovitis, Tendon injuries, Post op, Work related injuries and gradual process conditions. Both under ACC, private and hospital contracts.

Jess Lockwood

Jess attended school here in Wanaka before traveling and studying at the University of Queensland.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology then went on to gain a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies. 

Jess worked in Brisbane as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Physiotherapist. She has worked with the Australian Paralympic classification, Exercise Physiology and Cardiac research programs.  Jess tutored at the University of Queensland prior to returning home to Wanaka with her young family. 

Jess is an experienced Pilates teacher and uses exercise, sports massage, dry needling and manual therapy to help people return to pain free movement and achieve their goals.

In her spare time she can be found snowboarding, hiking and at the lake with her young family.  

Denise Lloyd

Originally from Ireland, Denise graduated from The Robert Gordon University in Scotland in 2008.  She has worked all over the UK and Australia but has spent most of her working life in New Zealand. 

Denise has additional training in Pilates, Manual Therapy and Dry Needling. She enjoys treating back pain and sports related injuries.

She loves getting into the great outdoors of Central Otago with her three children. 

Laura Due

Laura graduated from the University of Otago in 2013.  Since graduating she has worked predominantly overseas in London and Verbier (Switzerland).  Her love of skiing and mountain biking has brought her to Wanaka.

Laura spent several years travelling with the Trek Enduro Pro Mountain bike team and loves all injuries bike related. She has a special interest in cervical (neck), vertigo and TMJ (jaw) disorders.

Laura is an experienced pilates teacher.  She uses exercise, sports massage, dry needling and manual techniques to get her clients back moving pain free again.

Zoe Barton

Zoe has a degree in Occupational Therapy from Otago Polytechnic and has spent the last decade helping clients make a successful return to work.

Originally from Dunedin, Zoe has worked all over Australia and New Zealand. She enjoys getting out into nature, spending time with her friends, family and her dog Gus.

Bridgett graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since then she has taken a special interest in using strength and conditioning principles to get both athletes and weekend warriors back to doing what they love. She has additional training in clinical pilates, dry needling and on-field rehabilitation/speed training. Bridgett is passionate about building strong and resilient bodies, while trying to make this process as enjoyable and empowering as possible.

Clare has 20 years as a physiotherapist and has a post-graduate diploma in Acupuncture from Auckland University of Technology. She has worked at Otago University for the past 5 years as a Professional Practice Fellow and Year 4 Clinical Educator.  Clare enjoys treating all injuries and getting people back to health. 

 

Megan Baillet

Megan is our bubbly clinic manager originally from Oxford, England. She decided to move to New Zealand in 2022 and after exploring this beautiful country for 5 months she fell in love with Wanaka and decided to make it home. 

Megan studied Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth and graduated in 2020. During her time at university she had a keen interest in the Physiology modules, in particular Extreme Environmental Physiology and completed her dissertation on the cold water shock response. She has always had a love for sports, and has played football since she was 10 years old at various levels. She is now loving having the mountains on her doorstep and you can usually find her out skiing or on a hike.

Anna is the newest member to our administration team, moving from the big smoke to the mountains for a change of pace. You will see her in the clinic Mondays to Wednesdays.

Kirsty Pringle

Originally from the big smoke in Auckland, Kirsty has lived in Christchurch and Queenstown before settling in Wanaka mid 2023. 
Kirsty worked as a policy analyst for Council and Central government for several years before a head injury encouraged her to switch careers and gain better work-life balance. 
She is also a yoga instructor, health coach and lover of all things wellness.

Originally from the UK but made the move to Tauranga in 2005 and after nearly 20 years felt it was time for a change so in 2024 swapped the Ocean for the Lakes. Enjoys being outdoors in the beautiful Otago landscape trail riding, paddleboarding and skiing.
